To remove a bandage painlessly, saturate the bandage with vodka. The solvent dissolves the adhesive.

To clean the caulking around bathtubs and showers, fill a trigger-spray bottle with vodka, spray the caulking, let set 5 minutes and wash clean. The alcohol in the vodka kills mold and mildew.

What is Norovirus?
Norovirus is an extremely common cause of diarrhea and vomiting in humans. It is often called the “stomach flu,” although it is not caused by the influenza viruses. The viruses are very small and often difficult to detect. Norovirus is commonly responsible for outbreaks in places where people are in close proximity to each other; including nursing homes, homes for the aged, hospitals, banquet halls, cruise ships, childcare centres, schools and restaurants.

While we were shovelling sticky May snow off our Calgary driveways, some KAO alumni were fanning themselves with palm leaves.  Nicole and Denis Gratton and Gord Casperd nailed another “contract of the century” with Vermilion - this time in Trinidad (at this time, Nicole and Denis are back in Canada, and Gord is still doing his time on the islands).
