We had KAO Reunion party in Usinsk on November 04, 2006. We rented a cozy cafe; and spent 7 happy hours there singing, dancing, eating, drinking, laughing and simple chatting.

It is difficult to imagine that 5 (!) years have past already after the Company stopped to exist as a legal entity, as former KAO people still feel themselves as KAO people. There is no the Past Tense for our most beloved Company!

We always know that if anybody is in trouble he (or she) can ask his/her KAO friends (Russians or Canadians) and they will help the person by all means ASAP! Our friendship is strong and everlasting.

The KAO reunion party in Calgary did not bring many people together this year.  Those who attended this party on November 10, 2006 really enjoyed themselves!  The food was great, vodka was cold, the atmosphere was cozy and everyone had a blast!

The next KAO Calgary Reunion (15 Years) will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006. The location of the event will be the familiar Blind Monk, located at 2500-4St SW, Calgary. Start time will be somewhere around 6 PM.

Our last reunion in Calgary was in July 2005 when many of our Russian friends came to Calgary for the event.

Well, it’s time to start planning for a trip to Russia in 2007!

You may have heard that we were invited by our Russian visitors last summer to make a return visit to Russia in 2007. We have been requested to start providing some of the basic inputs needed to get things moving. This includes dates and numbers.

The basic plan for the trip is to spend a few days in Moscow, a few days in St. Petersburg, and then a boat trip between the two cities, with some historic stops along the way. It is expected that the total duration of the trip will be two weeks, including travel time from/to Canada.

July 2005 saw a dream come true for about 30 x-KAO people who decide to come to Calgary and find out what the real Stampede is all about. Many of you will remember the attempts of the Canadians working in Usinsk to introduce the Stampede custom to the Russians. It must have had some positive impact, based on the enthusiasm of the foreign guests who came for a visit.

From the KAO Stampede Reunion Planning Committee.

The KAO Stampede Reunion will be held on Thursday, July 7, 2005. We expect to host 20 - 30 of our x-KAO friends from Russia, and other parts of the world. The first detailed planning meeting was held on February 15, 2005, with those in the photo in attendance. Many of the details are now being finalized but more work still needs to be done.
